Many students have had that one teacher or class that they just can’t stand or one that they just don’t need. For many students, mid-year transfers are the most viable option in order to get the best scholastic experiences. However, with this influx of requests, not all students can obtain the classes that they want.

Switching out of classes midyear has always been an option for Timberline students, it has been a way students leave their classes if they feel like they cannot complete them. When hearing the term “dropping” or “switching out” when referring to classes, it can be alarming, but in many ways it is beneficial for students. Junior Henry Wyman and sophomore Kyla Hollcrost speak about how switching classes can be helpful.
